What is lucie jane blackman?

Lucie Jane Blackman was a British woman who was born on May 1, 1981, in Sevenoaks, Kent, England. She was a former British Airways flight attendant who went missing while working as a hostess in Tokyo, Japan, on July 1, 2000. She was 21 years old at the time. Her dismembered body was discovered seven months later, in a cave on the Miura Peninsula in Kanagawa Prefecture.

Her disappearance and murder gained international attention, and a man named Joji Obara was eventually sentenced to life imprisonment in 2007 for her murder. However, Obara is believed to have been responsible for the death of at least six other women, and the bodies of two other women were found on his property.

The Lucie Blackman Trust was founded in her memory, which provides support and advice to families of British nationals who are affected by a crisis overseas. Lucie's father, Tim Blackman, also wrote a book about her life and death titled "Without Trace: The Last Voyages of Eight Ships".
